ERIC STAAL SIGNS ONE-DAY CONTRACT, RETIRES FROM NHL

RALEIGH, N.C. – Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has signed forward Eric Staal to a one-day contract and that Staal will retire from the NHL as a member of the Hurricanes. Additionally, the team will retire Staal’s number 12 at a to-be-determined date during the 2024-25 NHL season.
