‘CANES REASSIGN DREW MacINTYRE TO CHARLOTTE

RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned goaltender Drew MacIntyre to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). MacIntyre was recalled to Carolina on emergency for Cam Ward (lower body injury) on Thursday, and served as backup for the team’s 2-1 loss at PNC Arena against Washington.
