RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has placed goaltender Cam Ward on injured reserve. The team also has recalled goaltender Mike Murphy from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an emergency basis.
