RALEIGH, NC – Jon Chase, Director of Community Relations and Promotions for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the entire Hurricanes roster will participate in a day of community appearances on Monday, Dec. 19.
Four groups of players will visit patients at Rex Hospital (1 p.m.), WakeMed Hospital (1 p.m.), North Carolina Children’s Hospital (1:30 p.m.) and Duke Children’s Hospital (2 p.m.) on Monday. The players will spend time with children at the hospitals, taking photos, signing autographs and distributing Hurricanes and NHL items to celebrate the holiday season.
At 3 p.m., four Hurricanes players will join four children selected by PLM Families Together and Durham Nativity School at Target in the North Hills shopping center. Each player will be paired with a child to help with holiday shopping. Each player/child pair will receive a $250 Target gift card, courtesy of the Carolina Hurricanes, to help buy holiday gifts for the children’s families.
