Ondrej summers at home in Czechia, and his favorite city is Prague… He started skating at age 3 or 4, and his first team was SK Kadan… His younger brother, David, was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft… His favorite players growing up were Jaromir Jagr and Martin Straka… His parents have had the biggest influence on his career, and he chose number 73 because of their birth year… The best advice he has been given is to enjoy every moment… Ondrej’s favorite TV show is Game of Thrones, and his favorite musical artist is Kabát… His favorite sport to watch outside of hockey is tennis, and the celebrity he’d most like to meet is Roger Federer… His favorite foods are steak and sushi… Ondrej’s most memorable hockey moment was his NHL debut on Nov. 2, 2016.
Has represented Czechia at numerous international tournaments, including the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2012, IIHF Under-18 World Championship in 2013 and IIHF World Junior Championships in 2014 and 2015.
