Media credentials will be issued to working media only. All credentials are non-transferable, and any unauthorized use will subject the credential bearer to removal from Lenovo Center and confiscation of the credential. Credentials allow access to the press box and media meal located on the fifth floor of Lenovo Center, as well as the media workroom and both locker rooms (for postgame availabilities) located on Arena Level.
Media credentials are divided into two categories: full-season and single-game. Full-season media passes will be issued to recognized newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations and established websites by completing the credential application which can be found here. Media credentials may not be used to watch the game from spectator seating areas.
Prior to most home games, the Hurricanes will hold a morning skate at Lenovo Center at 10:30 a.m., typically lasting about 30 minutes. Media may park in the north 4000 lot and enter through the north security entrance, and they are asked to watch from section 105, behind the Hurricanes’ bench. Out-of-town media wishing to pick up their single-game credential at morning skate should reach out to Freddy Stanley at freddys@carolinahurricanes.com to have their credential left at the north security entrance.
Approximately five minutes after the team has started to leave the ice, the Hurricanes’ locker room will be open to media for player interviews. Once player availabilities have concluded, Head Coach Rod Brind’Amour will be available in the media workroom (located on the north side of the arena). In the event that the Hurricanes do not hold a morning skate, Brind’Amour will be available in the media workroom approximately two hours and 15 minutes prior to puck drop unless otherwise noted.
