Media credentials will be issued to working media only. All credentials are non-transferable, and any unauthorized use will subject the credential bearer to removal from PNC Arena and confiscation of the credential. Credentials allow access to the press box on the fifth floor of PNC Arena, as well as Arena level, which includes our pregame media meal room, media workroom and both locker rooms (for postgame availabilities).
Media credentials are divided into two categories: full-season and single-game. Full-season media passes will be issued to recognized newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations and established websites by completing the credential application which can be found below. Media credentials may not be used to watch the game from spectator seating areas.
Scouts and media member who do not have full-season credentials should email their single-game credential requests to David Piper at firstname.lastname@example.org at least 24 hours prior to puck drop.
New photographers receiving single-game credentials should reach out to team photographer Josh Lavallee at email@example.com for information regarding shooting locations and protocols.
Single-game credentials may be picked up from the media entrance between the box office and VIP lobby on the south side of PNC Arena, across from Carter-Finley Stadium. Media gates open two and a half hours prior to puck drop for all regular-season games, but please note that doors may open earlier during the playoffs. Parking is available for media in the East 1000 lot, and a PNC Arena parking map can be viewed here. Full-season parking passes are not required for media with single-game credentials, although you may be asked by a parking attendant to present work ID or a previous single-game credential to gain access to the lot.
Please use the form below to apply for full-season credentials to cover Carolina Hurricanes games at PNC Arena for the 2022-23 season. The deadline to apply for a full-season credential is September 20.
ALL MEDIA WISHING TO OBTAIN A FULL-SEASON CREDENTIAL MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. No blanket submissions with multiple names from one outlet will be accepted. In addition, Hurricanes, PNC Arena and NHL policies do not allow for nameless credentials to be issued to media outlets. Each full-season credential must be issued to a named person representing or employed by a recognized media outlet.
If you had a full-season credential in 2021-22, please indicate whether you would like to use the same photo on your credential in 2022-23. If you would like to update your photo, or if you did not previously have a full-season credential, please email a .jpg file to David Piper at firstname.lastname@example.org upon completing this application. Professional head shots work best, but straight-on head shots from most modern smart phones will suffice. Please ensure that your entire face is visible (i.e. no hats, sunglasses).
