RALEIGH, N.C. – Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has signed defenseman Jalen Chatfield to a two-year contract extension. The deal will pay Chatfield $750,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level in 2022-23, and he will earn $775,000 at the NHL level in 2023-24.
