RALEIGH, NC – Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that forward Valentin Zykov has been claimed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers. In addition, goaltender Scott Darling has cleared waivers and has been reassigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
