RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has placed forward Lee Stempniak on injured reserve. Stempniak suffered an upper-body injury during the first game of his conditioning stint with Charlotte (AHL) on Friday night in Utica.
