MAYOR McFARLANE PROCLAIMS OCTOBER 6 “HURRICANES DAY” IN RALEIGH

RALEIGH, NC – In celebration of the Carolina Hurricanes’ beginning their 20th anniversary season on Saturday, Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane has proclaimed the week of October 2-7 to be “Carolina Hurricanes Week,” and Friday, Oct. 6, to be “Carolina Hurricanes Day” in Raleigh. For “Carolina Hurricanes Day,” residents and visitors in the greater Raleigh and Triangle region are encouraged to show their support of the team by wearing their Hurricanes colors to school and work.
