RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the Hurricanes have assigned defenseman Keegan Lowe to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Lowe was recalled to Carolina on Wednesday and made his NHL debut at Philadelphia the following night, fighting twice with Flyers forward Vincent Lecavalier.
