RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated center Eric Staal from injured reserve, making him eligible to play in tonight’s game in Vancouver. Francis also announced that forward Patrick Brown has been reassigned to the American Hockey League’s Charlotte Checkers.
