RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that defenseman Andrej Sekera underwent abdominal surgery. The surgery was performed by Dr. William C. Meyers in Philadelphia, and Sekera’s recovery time is approximately six weeks.
