RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that six players have been assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Forwards Nicolas Blanchard, Zach Boychuk, Aaron Palushaj and Jared Staal; defenseman Michal Jordan; and goaltender Justin Peters, will join Charlotte’s training camp which opened today at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, NC.
